Our Process
Some project representatives approach Artéfice with a photo torn from a magazine. Others issue a Request For Proposal (RFP) and a set of construction drawings. Given those extremes and anything in between, our objective remains the same: to identify the right resources to for the job.
If your objectives aren't totally defined, Artéfice holds an orientation meeting to identify the following items, which will affect which approach is ideal:
- Design development
- Scope of work
- Budgets
- Schedule
- Contract agreement
Design Development
Typical design development progresses along these steps:
- Offer alternates or value engineer, if desired
- Prepare final estimate
- Prepare a final schedule
- Create shop drawings
- Manufacture
- Finish
- Deliver to jobsite
- Install
- Touch-Up
Scope of Work
A complete and defined scope of work enables Artéfice to begin developing firm pricing information for your review. Without a complete and defined scope of work, budget pricing will be provided.
Estimating and Scheduling
Explained in our Budgeting & Scheduling section.
Contract Agreement
To determine contract type, Artéfice will discuss the pros and cons of selecting a contract with a Guaranteed Maximum Price, a Fixed Price or Time and Materials. In dealing with general contractors, Artéfice works as a subcontractor.
